Welcome! To Palmer’s Heavenly Hearts Family Childcare LLC. I love my chosen profession and believe that there is no greater feeling than knowing that you aided in the learning and growth of a child. What I enjoy most is seeing the expression of a child who has just discovered something new and wonderful for the first time. There is nothing better than when they are able to perform a new skill without assistance for the first time.
I have been caring for children for 16 years; first caring for my own children Elijah 16, Serenity 13 and Jasiah 7, and working with pre-k students as an Instructional Assistant at Easton Elementary School. I’m married to my wonderful husband Thomas who is my greatest supporter of my daycare journey. I grew up in Talbot County and educated within the Talbot County public school system. I have my Associates Degree in Health Services Administration and continued my studies with Wilmington University for my Bachelor’s degree in Health Management. I also hold childcare certifications from Howard Community College in the areas of Director of Childcare, Infant and Toddler, and Childcare Lead Preschool teacher and recently certified for School Age with in Childcare. I strive to improve the quality of the services I provide to my clients as a Professional Early Educator by staying current on childcare laws and regulations, advocating for early childhood education, and learning new, exciting, and stimulating teaching methods and activities.
Mrs. Janika
Assistant Lead Teacher
Infant & Toddlers
Mrs. Janika came on board with Palmer's Heavenly Hearts in Jan. 2019. She is also a Licensed Maryland childcare provider. She is a certified Lead Infant and Toddler teacher. She was the owner and operator of Precious Steps Family Childcare. As Palmer's Heavenly Hearts expanded into the county's first "Large Family" In home Childcare she quickly made the decision to be part of the staff. For those of you that don't know Mrs. Janika is the sister of Gloria. Janika and her husband Shawn and their two children Shawn Jr. 23 and Destiny 21 resides in Talbot County, MD
Mrs. Maxine
Childcare Center Aide
Mrs. Max as she loves to be called came on board with Palmer's Heavenly Hearts in March 2020. Before coming on board she worked in the healthcare sector at Delaware Hospice. She and her husband just recently moved back to Maryland. She is loving being back in her hometown and being around her family. She is the aunt to Mrs. Gloria's husband Thomas :) Maxine's childcare experience comes in the form of raising her 31 year old daughter Natasha and being the infant/toddler children's church leader at her local church.

Palmer's Heavenly Hearts is more than a job to them. It's an opportunity to share their passion for life while they awaken the wonder inside each and every child. Our low provider-to-child ratios allow us to focus on the individual learning styles and needs of each child in our center.
Destiny
Childcare Center Substitute
Destiny is the daughter of Mrs. Janika. She is a senior at Towson University. When she's not busy with her studies she is focusing on her business dreams. When Destiny is in town she likes to come and engage with the kids. The kids love when she does arts and crafts with them.

Our staff is qualified and constantly training in different courses according to the Maryland State Department of Education - Office of Childcare Regulations. We have experience in the area of taking care and educating children. We are committed to work according to each children's needs and learning styles to ensure optimal education results in all the areas of development.
